The AI Governance Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of data governance frameworks for all Enterprise Data & Insights (ED&I) AI and innovation initiatives. Reporting up to the Innovation/AI Governance Lead, this role ensures that the creation and use of AI data technologies adhere to defined data policies and standards while safeguarding the issues of privacy, compliance, and ethical considerations. The AI Governance Specialist facilitates the delivery of analytics and insights solutions, addresses matters related to data privacy and security, and assists in the formation and execution of AI governance frameworks. By staying current with industry trends and best practices, the Specialist will contribute to the promotion of ethical AI innovation within the organization. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: Support the development and maintenance of AI data governance frameworks, policies, processes, and standards in collaboration with the Innovation/AI Governance Lead Assist in generating data guidelines for ethics, privacy, security, and compliance for AI and innovation initiatives Assess AI solutions from a data governance perspective to ensure compliance with corporate, industry, and regulatory standards Collaborate with various teams to align AI and innovation data initiatives with ED&I and enterprise-wide strategies Assist in training and educating stakeholders about data governance frameworks, policies, and standards related to AI Monitor AI and innovation projects to ensure compliance with internal governance frameworks and standards Keep up to speed with industry trends and emerging technologies in AI data governance FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Risk Management or related field, or in lieu of related degree, at least 6 years of experience in AI Governance, AI Ethics, or Data Governance. Preferred: Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified AI Professional, CDMP) preferred KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: 5+ years of experience in AI Governance, AI Ethics, Data Governance, or Risk Management Strong understanding of governance frameworks, standards, and policies related to AI, including the implications of privacy, security, compliance, and ethics Experience in risk assessment and management Familiarity with Machine Learning, NLP, and other AI areas Strong communication and presentation skills to explain complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Required: AI and Machine Learning Technologies Data Management Tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, SQL databases) AI Governance Frameworks and Regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO) Analytics Tools and Methodologies Cloud Technologies and Platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) Sherwin-Williams is proud to be an Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, Inclusion and Diversity Supportive Employer.
