ASM Global Parking Attendant ($17.56 per Hour) in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

SUMMARYASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has immediate openings for part-time on-call CSR/Parking Attendants for ASM Global at the Broward County Convention Center. These are part-time on-call even-based positions that pay $17.56 an hour.Under the direct supervision of the Parking Manager and/or the Parking Coordinator these positions will be responsible for obtaining payments for garage access, provide assistance with pay stations, directs vehicles into the garage, and maintains garage as assigned within the Broward County Convention Center.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESInclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.Processes credit cards transactions for the payment of parking fees receipt for funds in a timely.Completes all necessary reports/paperwork involved with reconciliation of all credit card transactions.Answers questions regarding daily, event, monthly and long-term parking.Directs traffic into, within, and out of parking garage utilized by Parking Department.Provides customer service and information requested from patrons and the public.Utilizes, maintains and is responsible for supplies, tools and equipment used to complete job tasks.Sets up designated parking areas as assigned.Performs various other job tasks as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSHigh School diploma or GED and customer service experience.Must pass background and credit check.EDUCATIONMust possess a high school diploma or GED.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESExperience with payment devices and pay stations.Demonstrate skills in customer relations, communications and problem solving.Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.Resolve problems, address complaints as they arise, work effectively under pressure, and produce accurate results.Operate calculators and standard office equipment as needed.Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment with minimal supervision.Must possess the ability to follow written and or verbal instruction.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be physically able to bend, stoop, and reach.Must be able to physically sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.Moderate to extreme exposure to noise during events.Eye-hand-foot coordination.Hearing sufficient to clearly hear voices, alarms, bells, and horns.COMPUTER SKILLSMinimal proficiency computer skills including the ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, payment devices, phone, etc.HOURS OF WORKShifts vary -- Required to work any shift needed (as scheduled).Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the events.NOTE: The essential responsibilities of this position are described under the headings above.
