Job Description

The opportunity

This role serves as operational support for Manulife’s Procurement process and procurement systems as part of the digitization program and process improvement of Manulife Global Procurement. Reporting to the Procurement Operations Lead, the role is responsible in delivering business requirements through oversight of day-to-day operations and efficient performance of the end-to-end procurement process. Other than administrative support, the role also includes review and approval of purchase requisitions, understanding of the P2P process, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and resolving and Purchase Requisition/Purchase Order-related issues or discrepancies.

The resource must have a strong knowledge in procurement, procurement systems and policies. Familiarity with contract management and purchase order is also important given the end-to-end procurement process and the integration points within the application.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support operational business requirements related to the end-to-end procurement process timely and efficiently.

  • Review and approve purchase requisitions in accordance with procurement policies and vendor contract.

  • Monitor compliance with procurement policies and procedures, including adherence to contract terms and regulatory requirements.

  • Support Procurement COE in completing projects to uphold business initiatives which may include data clean-up or management of data integrity.

  • Provide support into system and procedural documentation and training.

  • Support the business through regular and daily monitoring of the Shared Mailbox and established incident management tool to respond timely and resolve business requirements.

  • Perform other procurement duties as may be assigned.

What we are looking for

  • College/University graduate

  • Experience with procurement, procurement process or procurement systems

  • Experience working with procurement contracts and related legal document is an advantage.

  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Applications.

  • Ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly and work effectively in a changing environment.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact both verbally and in writing.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.

  • Attention to details and accuracy are critical in completing tasks.

  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a deadline-oriented environment.

  • Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks.
